KULA WANGSA

Kula Wangsa is a Malaysian indie rock band that was formed in 2018. The band is comprised of Raja Naz (Vocals, rhythm guitar), Jai (Lead guitar), Irfan (Bass) and Wan (Drums); Who each have years of experience playing with other bands in the Malaysian independent music scene.

This band has both English and Malay songs which incorporates rock music elements from the 1970s up till the 1990s era and is heavily influenced by the psychedelic rock, jazz, blues, funk, and hard rock genres.

In the beginning, Kula Wangsa was known as "RAJA" or "Raja Bunyian" which was a project led by Raja Naz; where he used a drum machine for early performances before recruiting the others. This band was completed with the arrival of Jai, Irfan and Wan, where the name "RAJA" was discontinued and marked the birth of Kula Wangsa.
